Street Festival 2011

The Gratiot/Isabella Great Start Collaborative and Parent Coalition endured the heat on July 21st &22nd to participate in the Mt. Pleasant Street Festival. This year the traditional Arts & Crafts Festival combined with the 58th annual Side Walk Sales to transform into one big festival with fun for the whole family.
A professional sand sculpture artist partnered with Art Reach of Mid Michigan’s interactive art events Chair Affair and Chalk It to bring the best of all of these events to one amazing weekend in downtown Mt. Pleasant.

The event allowed for opportunities for both the Great Start Parent Coalition and The Great Start Collaborative to promote its mission and continue to raise community awareness of early childhood needs. Public support for school readiness was extremely positive during the event.
